1. COCKROACHES:-
Cockroaches are the most common insects. They are present in tremendous numbers and some of them are several inches long.

Cockroaches utilize such things as glue, paste starch and certain colors dyes as foods.

Life cycle consists of three stages egg. nymph and Audlt. They are often found near steam pipes, in swears damp basements and similar places.

METHOD:-
Roaches can be controlled by the use of sprays dust or baits.

2. BEDBUGS:-
Bed Bugs are universal pest of mankind. The sole food of bed bugs is the blood of warm blooded animals.

An adult bed bugs is about ˝ inch long and 1/8 inch wide. It is reddish-brown mahogany colored body is greatly flattened oval shaped. The body is covered with tiny hairs and the general body appearance is shiny.

The bed bugs egg is elongated and firmly attached to an available surface when laid each female lays about 2 eggs per day until she has laid an average of app.200 at normal room temperature.

MEHTOD:- Bedbugs can be eliminated by –

a) Fumigation -: This must be carried out only by personnel thoroughly trained in fumigation techniques.

b) These insects are usually controlled by spraying a residual insecticide which also has a contact killing action.

3. ANTS:-
Ants are among the most successful of insects. Living in colonies, usually in the ground. They are well protected from their enemies and have been able to establish colonies is almost any type of soil all over the world.

Ants live in colonies and have a well developed caste system for the division of labour within the colony. Ants colonies are usually made up of at least two distinct castes, the worker and the reproductive, workers are the sterile females and may very considerable in size. All work in the colony, such as building the nest caring for the young and hunting for the food is done by this caste.

Ants feed on wide variety of foods eating any thing which is edible, sweets, starches, grasses, and plant and animal materials.

METHOD:-
Ant control may depend greatly upon the species of ant involved and upon the nature and location of the infestation. Ants control can be done by dusting spraying.

4. SILVERFISH:-
Silver fish are wingless insects. They have a some what flattered, tapered, torpedo shaped body which is covered with metallic looking scales and are some times called “Bristle-Tails” derived from the three long sensory appendages attached to the hind end of the body. Their life cycle is without metamorphosis. Eggs hatched in to young which moult numerous times in to adult. They feed quietly on starchy substance such as glue wallpaper paste, paper, textiles and other cellulose product may also form part of their diet.

METHOD:-
Silver fish are most effective controlled by use of a residual insecticide applied directly in to the cracks and crevices.

5. RODENT CONTROL:-
Effective Rodent Control required proper planning. both administratively and operationally. taking in to consideration all aspects of the biology and ecology of rats.

Rats ate pests because of the damage they do to food properly and many serious diseases associated with them.

Normally rat lives at or near in ground level. it nests and burrow in the ground under building. in rubbish and rubble. it is an excellent climber ,swimmer ,jumper and is found everywhere, including cities,farms,dumps and swears are the major habitats live both inside and outside of the building, but has a large range of 15-30 meters. it prefers narrow concealed, out of the way routes when moving about. Since it is a creature of habit it tends to follow the same path way, it is highly adaptable.

METHOD:-
Rodent control measures are various and need a through knowledge of their species and habits. The various type of control are --- Baiting by anticoagulants, Trapping, Mechnical traps , cages-Rat proofing and ultrasonic sound devices.

6 TERMITE:-
Termite or white ants as they are commonly called are a group of insignificant looking insects, which are often mistaken for common ants. Although they resembles the common ants. They also differ from ants, as they have thick waist and two pairs of equal wings. Termites are primitive insects having lived on earth for million of years and feedings on timer and every thing of plant origin. According to their habits, termites are divided into well defined groups.

a) SUBTRRANEAN TERMITES:-

A ground nesting species which build nests and live in the soil.

b) NON SUBTERRANEAN TERMITES:-

Which live in wood and do not require contact with the soil. Subterranean species are said to be responsible for over 95% of all damage done by termites.

No building is safe is an area where termites occur once inside the building, they work quickly, silently, without exposing them selves and devour every bit of wood a cellulose product which comes their way.

METHOD:-
The Control of termites both in preventive and curative control is difficult task requiring professional scientific method. Chemical control using chemical (Termicides) which are toxic to termites are found to be the best and most successful method preventing and controlling termite in the soil.
